lol it's funny, whether you meant to or not you just described a key point to why Communism fails. Unions are actually a socialist idea. As is social security, medicare, medicaid, etc. Anything that involves the betterment of the group over the individual. I support unions, because I think that's really the only way the common man can get a "fair shake" where corporations are concerned. Of course, there are problems, just as you mentioned, but those problems are not exclusive to unions. You could work your *** off and still get fired for no reason with Employment at Will. You could work your *** off and get passed over for a promotion because you don't kiss corporate *** as well as the next guy. Etc, etc, you see my point? I think unions do much more good than harm in most cases and you can't blame problems like that all on unions. Because they would still exist even without unions. It's simply too bad that some people use them as a crutch to be innefficient. There's a fine line there, no doubt about it.

lol so you're saying the Rich serve their purpose by giving us something to aspire to? I think their real purpose is to rub our faces in their **** and make us do the real work. There are some that actually earned it, but I'd guess most got their wealth given to them on a silver platter and have never done a day's work in their life.
As for unions, I support them. By the same token, though, I understand a business needs to be profitable if it is to succeed and grow. But the cogs in the machine, the workers that make the company run, shouldn't be neglected and treated like ****. That doesn't mean they should slack off, but I could see where unions would help in situations such as Employment at Will.
